This complex and unique project was undertaken by Davro Interiors in collaboration with Offshore Simulator Centre, based in Norway. The project was delivered to Farstad Shipping Offshore Simulation Centre, an Australian owned and operated training and simulation company, in October 2011.
The project was a challenge for all involved, including overseas suppliers of specialised equipment, Australian shipbuilders and of course, our local engineering consultants and contractors.
Our task was to modify an existing warehouse to accommodate a dome shaped simulator and construct a mezzanine, or mid-level floor, around the simulator which is the heart of the project.
Spread over two floor levels are associated simulators, monitoring stations, projection rooms, offices, briefing rooms, meeting & conference rooms, training rooms, kitchens and break-out areas.
We believe our endeavours have provided a state-of-the-art training facility that is both efficient and aesthetically pleasing. |
